Submission/Collection Process

The Diplomatic Missions of Germany in Russian Federation inform applicants and third parties applying on behalf of applicants to be aware that any false statements will lead to an application being rejected or to the annulment of a visa already granted and may also render their liable to prosecution under the law of the Member State which deals with the application.

Submission process

Citizens of Russia and citizens of third countries who legally reside in Russia may submit documents.

• An applicant over 18 years of age may apply for a visa in person.

If fingerprints procedure was passed earlier:

• with notarized power of attorney (without the right of delegation):

The trustee must have the following documents with him: a notarized power of attorney (original + copy), copies of the internal passports of the trustee and the principal - a page with a photo (a power of attorney should be not older than 6 months).

OR

with the Visametric form of power of attorney, filled in with data of internal Russian passports of the authorized person and principal:

The trustee must have the following documents with him: the VisaMetric form of the power of attorney with the signature (original) - filled by the applicant, a copy of internal passport of the Russian Federation of the principal's passport - a page with a photo and a copy of the trustee Russian internal passport. The same format for submission process applies for spouses when submitted one for another, and also in the case of the submission of the group. Such a power of attorney must be filled from all persons who will be included in the agreement for the name of the main person (the customer of the agreement).

• For children under 18 years of age, one parent may apply. In this case, he must provide a birth certificate (original and copy) and a set of documents for a minor.
• In case if documents of minors are not submitted by parents or guardians, a notarized power of attorney or VisaMetric submission/collection form for minors for a third party is required from one of the representatives of the child (parent). This power of attorney must be signed by this parent or guardian, and filled in with data of internalRussian passports. Additionally, you must provide a copy of Russian internal passport of the parent who signed the power of attorney, a copy of Russian internal passport of the trustee and the original and a copy of the birth certificate.

For registration of the contract on submission document time, the applicant must carry the original Russian internal passport for registration of the contract or residence permit (for foreign citizens)

Collection process

Applicants can collect ready passports at the German Visa Center, in which the documents and passport were submitted.

• A client can personally receive the passport and accompanying documentation if the contact was made on his/her name(the customer party in the client’s agreement). Required documents for collection: client agreement, recipient’s internal Russian passport (or the document for which the agreement was drawn up, for example: residence permit for foreign citizens).
• By a third party (other than the customer) collection of the passport is possible only with notarized power of attorney. Required documents for collection: client agreement, recipient's internal Russian passport (original + copy), notarized power of attorney for collecting documents at the Visa Center (original + copy)
• In case if a contract was made for a group, only the person indicated in the contract as a customer can collect all passports and accompanying documentation for all group. Required documents for collection: client agreement, recipient’s internal Russian passport (or the document on which the agreement was made, for example: residence permit for foreign citizens).
• For minor applicants, only the parent specified in the client agreement as a customer (the customer party in the client’s agreement) can take the documents. Required documents for collection: client agreement, recipient’s internal Russian passport (or the document on which the agreement was made, for example: residence permit for foreign citizens). Otherwise, the rules for collecting documents for a minor are similar to the rules for collection by a third party.

My visa application was rejected. What can I do?

German Diplomatic Representations in the Russian Federation inform the applicants that the submitted documents must be authentic and have proper content. Fake or false documents can lead to the refusal or cancellation of an already issued visa. Misleading the Embassy about the purpose of stay also leads to a refusal to issue a visa. Submission of documents does not guarantee the issuance of a visa. In some cases, additional documents may be requested.

Submission process

Citizens of Russia and citizens of third countries residing in Russia legally can apply for a National Visa.

Applicants over 18 years of age:

• submission of documents only in person by the applicant.

Applicants under the age of 18:

• For children under 18, one of the parents or guardian can apply. In this case, a birth certificate (original) and a set of documents for the minor must be provided.
• If the documents for minor applicants are not submitted by parents or guardians, a notarized power of attorney for a third party is required from both parents or the child's legal representative. When issuing a power of attorney, it is also necessary to indicate the data of the leaving person (applicant). This power of attorney must be signed by the parents or guardian and drawn up according to the data of internal Russian passports. Additionally, it is necessary to provide copies of the internal Russian passports of the parents who signed the power of attorney, copies of the internal Russian passport of the trustee and the original birth certificate.

All original documents for submission must be submitted with 2 additional copies.
No notarization of copies of documents is required.

To draw up a contract when submitting documents, you must have with you the original Russian internal passport or residence permit (for foreign citizens).

The contract can be drawn up for persons over 18 years of age. For each applicant, a completed consent to the processing of personal data must be submitted.

Collection process

Applicants can obtain ready-made passports at the German Visa Application Center where the documents and passport were submitted.

• The passport and accompanying documentation can be received personally by the person for whom the contract was drawn up ("customer" field in the client contract). Required documents for obtaining: client agreement, internal Russian passport of the recipient (or the document for which the agreement was drawn up, for example: a residence permit for foreign citizens).
• For underage applicants, documents can only be collected by the parent specified in the client agreement as the customer. Required documents for obtaining: client agreement, internal Russian passport of the recipient (or the document for which the agreement was drawn up, for example: a residence permit for foreign citizens). Otherwise, the rules for obtaining documents for a minor child are identical to the rules for obtaining documents by third parties.
• By a third party, the collection is possible only by a notarized power of attorney from the person for whom the agreement was drawn up ("customer" field in the client agreement). When issuing a power of attorney, it is also necessary to indicate the data of the leaving person (applicant). Required documents for obtaining: client agreement, internal Russian passport of the recipient (original + copy), notarized power of attorney to receive documents at the Visa Application Center (original + copy).
