1. Bosnia and Herzegovina / FAQ / After Your Application
1. I was required to submit documents that are not included to the list, why?
The Embassy always makes decisions according to each specific situation. The checklist of documents can only include general information covering most, but not all, the possible cases. Consequently, a document not included in the list might be required. This doesn't mean that a visa cannot be issued.
2. How can I check the status of my application?
You can use your application number and passport number to retrieve your application via the Application Tracking section.
3. I understand the reason for the refusal, but I still want to go to Germany. Can I apply again?
You can always submit a new visa application. Book an appointment and prepare all the documents included in the checklist. If you have asked for your application to be re-examined, this process will be terminated after you submit a new application.
4. Will the fees be refunded in case of refusal?
The fees are independent from the decision regarding an application and are charged to cover the costs of administrative operating expenses. The fees cannot be returned if the visa application is refused.
5. I have found a mistake in my visa sticker. What should I do?
Please check the visa sticker when collecting your passport and immediately contact the responsible German Embassy.
6. How can the passport be picked up?
Your passport will be handed over to Visametric after processing at the embassy. Visametric will then send your passport to the address you have provided.
7. I have an emergency trip but my passport is still at the German Embassy. Can I withdraw my application without a review?
There is a possibility to request a withdrawal of documents from the Embassy in emergencies cases only. Please contact the Embassy directly.
