European Council Decision - Change from 12.09.2022

Dear applicants,

starting from 12.09.2022, visa facilitation agreement between Russia and the EU was completely suspended by the European Council.

Please note the following resulting changes for Schengen Visa applications:

- The visa fee for Russian citizens is increased from 35 to 80 euros. For children aged 6-12 years – from 35 to 40 euros;

- The processing times are extended from 10 to 15 days;

- Stricter examination of the visa issuance requirements;

- Request for additional documents (e.g. proof of payment for the booked accommodation, travel health insurance only taken out in the EU);

- In principle no issuing of multiple visas with a long period of validity.
