National visa (stay over 90 days)

For a one-time stay in Germany for more than 90 days, you need to apply for a national visa.

An application for a national visa can be submitted through VisaMetric

German Visa Center accepts documents for a national visa for a long stay for educational purposes and Au pair. Applications for student visas with notification of acceptance from a German university / technical college or preparatory college can be made through VisaMetric.

Please note that in order to apply for a national visa, the personal presence of each applicant is required, since on the day of submission of documents, the fingerprinting procedure takes place.

Registration for submission of documents is made only online VisaMetric Appointment.

Before applying:

  • Prepare the necessary documents according to the purpose of your trip.
  • You need to pre-register online for the submission of documents.
  • Read the general information about applying for a national visa.
  • Come to the VisaMetric office.

At the time of application:

  • The acceptance of documents and the fingerprinting procedure take place at the VisaMetric office, then the applications are sent to the relevant German diplomatic mission for consideration.
  • During the submission of documents, you can use additional services.
