Important Update: End of Remonstration Procedure from 1 July 2025

Starting 1 July 2025, the remonstration procedure for rejected visa applications will be discontinued worldwide. This means:

  • If your visa is rejected after this date, you can no longer submit a remonstration.

  • Instead, you have the option to file a legal complaint with the Administrative Court in Berlin (in German and subject to court fees).

  • You may also submit a new visa application at any time.

This change aims to speed up visa processing and reduce waiting times for all applicants.
