1. Tajikistan / FAQ / After Your Application

Can I visit other Schengen countries with a German Schengen visa?

Yes.

A Schengen visa entitles you to stay in all Schengen countries.

My application was rejected, what can I do now?

If you think the embassy's decision was wrong, explain in writing why you think so and ask for the denial to be reconsidered.

Upon receipt of your passport, you will receive a brief, in a few words, justification as to why your application was rejected. Please apply on the basis of the refusal with a request for re-examination (appeal). It takes several weeks to process an appeal. The Embassy will respond to your appeal and review your application again.

The appeal must be drawn up in German. Documents submitted with the appeal must be translated.

If we agree with your reasons, you will receive a visa.

If we do not agree with your reasoning, you will receive a detailed written explanation by mail, against which you, if you do not agree with its contents, can file a claim in the Administrative Court in Berlin. If you receive a written clarification after the appeal, you will have one month after receiving the letter to file your complaint with the Administrative Court in Berlin. Please wait for clarification anyway.

Alternatively, you can file a new application and pay particular attention to the previous grounds for refusal and try to document this.

How long does it take to re-process after an appeal?

Incoming appeals are processed in chronological order. Depending on the workload of the visa department, the re-processing of your application can take from several weeks to several months. There are no processing deadlines that the embassy had to adhere to.

I understand why my application was rejected, but I still want to go to Germany. Can I reapply for a visa?

You can always reapply for a visa. Agree on a date and collect all the documents listed on the list. If you have already filed an appeal, processing of your old application will be stopped after you submit a new visa application.

My visa application was rejected. There is only an embassy stamp in my passport. What does this mean?

The stamp in your passport only testifies that you applied for a visa at the embassy. The stamp is not an obstacle to your future applications.

Do I get my €80 refund if I cancel?

The amount represents a fee for the costs of maintaining the state apparatus, which is independent of the decision to process the visa application. The fee cannot be refunded if the visa application is rejected."

Can I pay more to get my application processed faster?

No, there is no such possibility. Visametric cannot and has no right to accept payment higher than what is required by law.

Additional costs can only be as costs (for example, for telephone calls or faxes to Germany).

How can I make sure I get a visa?

There are no such guarantees. Even if you have submitted all documents in full to VisaMetric, there is a possibility that the application will be rejected. The decision at the German Embassy is made on a case-by-case basis and cannot be influenced in advance.

I received a call from the embassy asking me to provide additional documents not listed in the instructions. Why do I have to provide these documents, and why was I not informed directly when applying?

In some cases, the embassy reserves the right to request additional documents if it is not possible to make a decision based on the available documents. The decision that these documents will be requested additionally does not depend on the staff who accepted your application, otherwise you would have been informed.

I just now discovered a mistake in my visa. What should I do?
