Digital fingerprinting of the European Visa Information System (VIS) has become a mandatory requirement for anyone requesting a Schengen visa.

Notice:

  • Digital fingerprints for countries outside the Schengen area are not valid.
  • In case of a last name change, the applicant must renew their digital fingerprints.
  • Even if you have already submitted a digital fingerprint during a previous Schengen visa application, in some exceptional cases, Visametric can call you to the office for the duplication of the digital fingerprinting on behalf of the Diplomatic Representatives.
  • Applicants up to 12 years of age are exempt from collecting digital fingerprints.
