Information on the visa categories with regard to the booking of appointments:

Please read and consider the information in the visa category that is relevant to you very carefully:

1) Schengen: If you have determined that the purpose of your trip for a short stay (Schengen visa) is also considered to be absolutely necessary from the point of view of the German authorities, please contact the German Embassy in Tehran. A booking via the VisaMetric appointment system is currently not possible.

2) National:

- Students: Applicants in the field of study and researcher book an appointment for themselves and, if necessary, for all family members who are leaving for Germany at the same time using the VisaMetric system.

- Fast-track procedure for skilled workers: If you have received pre-approval for the fast-track skilled worker procedure, you can submit your application to VisaMetric without an appointment.

- Employment: If you have received pre-approval, you can submit your application to VisaMetric without an appointment.

If not: If you have not already done so, please register an appointment for a visa application in the appointment system of the German Embassy in Tehran.

- Family reunification: If you have not already done so, please register for an appointment to apply for a visa in the allocation system of the German Embassy in Tehran.

3) Legalization and certified copy: You can book an appointment using the VisaMetric system.
