How can I make sure I will obtain the visa?

There are no guarantees for that. Even, if you provided the complete package of the documents to VisaMetric, there is a possibility that your application would be rejected. The decision in the German Embassy is made based on the specific case, and nothing can influence it in advance.

The Embassy representative called me with the request to submit the additional documents not listed in the list of required documents. Why should I submit these documents, and why was I not informed directly, when submitting the application?

Sometimes the Embassy reserves the right to request the additional documents, if it is not possible to make the decision basing on the available documents. The decision to request those documents does not depend on the personnel accepted your application. In other way you would be informed about that.

I have found the mistake in my visa only now. What should I do?

Please, check the visa at once after receiving the passport and immediately report about the mistakes or defections. The later adjustment is not possible or is possible only for a consideration. If you have found a mistake, please, contact the information department.

I obtained the annual visa. But the indicated number of the days is “90” and “MULT” is indicated near the entrance information. What exactly does it mean?

This visa allows you to reside in the Schengen zone countries for no more than 90 days within six months during one year. At the same time, you can enter and leave these countries more than once. The corresponding period of half a year starts on the first day of your entry. Note that you can not reschedule the days that you did not use within six months, until the next half a year. As soon as you use 90 days within the current half a year, you have to leave the country and you will not be able to return before the new half a year begins.
If you are not sure about the rest of your residence days, you would better address to the information department with your passport.

I obtained the visa valid (for example: from 01.05 through 01.06). The indicated number of days is «15», and «01» is indicated near the entrance information. What exactly does it mean?

Using this visa, you can enter the Schengen zone countries only once and stay in Germany for 15 days maximum. You can spend these 15 days from 01.05 to 01.06 in Germany.

I obtained the visa for the single-entry only. Can I travel within the Schengen area, or should I stay only in one Schengen zone country?

The single entry refers only to the first entry to the Schengen zone. If you go from Germany to the other Schengen zone country and then come back to Germany, it is not considered to be the entry.

I obtained the annual visa and spent 50 days in business within this half a year in Germany. I would like to spend 14 days of vacation in Spain. Is that possible to do?

Yes. The Schengen visa is valid for all the Schengen zone countries. But make sure that you spend most of the time in the Schengen country that issued you the visa. The rest of the days can be spent in all other Schengen zone countries.

I obtained the Schengen visa for 15 days from the German Embassy and I would like to spend 10 days in Germany. I also would like to spend another 5 days in Italy. Is that possible to do?

Generally, yes. Although Germany is your main destination, your first entry can also be made from the other Schengen zone country. But in case of doubts, the border authorities of the first entry country will require you to confirm that afterwards you would enter the country that issued the visa for you. If you cannot provide such evidence, perhaps you will not be allowed to cross the border.

I obtained the Schengen visa for 15 days and I stay in Germany now. Can I stay there for a longer period of time?

What should I do for that? Immediately address the corresponding foreigners authority according to the place of your residence and apply for extension of the visa. Staying with the expired permanent resident card is the abuse of the German residence right and it can cause the penalty or even the entry prohibition.
Besides that you should address the corresponding foreigners authority, if your visa was not issued by the German Embassy or if you reside in other Schengen zone country.

I still have a valid Schengen visa. But there are no free pages in my passport and that is why I have to apply for the new passport. What will happen to my visa?

Your old passport visa would be still valid, even if the passport has already expired. Therefore, you can travel with two passports with no trouble. Otherwise, you can apply with the old and new passports to the visa service information department at the Embassy and they would transfer visa to your new passport for free.

Why was my Schengen visa application refused?

The reasons to refuse your application are mentioned in the attached letter you receive with the refusal letter. Note that your application can be refused, if you submitted all the required documents according to the instructions. The completeness of your document package does not guarantee that you will obtain the visa.
