What is the annual visa or multi-visa?
Here the question is about the Schengen visa issued with the validity period of one or multiple years up to the maximum period of five years and provides you with the three months duration of stay within six months and multiple entry into the country. The reason for that is the Regulation (EG) No. 810/2009 of the European Parliament and Council of Europe d/d July 13, 2009, establishing the Community Code on Visas (abbreviated: “The Visa Code”).
It is stated in the article 24, paragraph 2 of the Visa Code, that the multi-visas are issued for a longer period of validity, if the applicant proves or demonstrates that he is forced or intends to have the frequent or regular trips, for the professional or family reasons, in particular.
As a rule, the annual visa or multi-visa could be issued only, if the applicant demonstrated his whiteness and confidence, particularly, concerning the legal use of the previous visas (Article 24, paragraph 2 of the Visa Code).
In any case, the number "90" is entered in the visa credits after the "Residence time". But this is not the allowable residence time during the whole period of validity, but the allowable residence time for six months.
