1. Uzbekistan / FAQ / Application Process

How much time does it take to check the visa application form?

The processing time for applications for a Schengen visa is generally 10 working days.
When applying at the Visa Centers in Andijan and Bukhara, the processing time is 15 working days.

How long should I wait after the submission of the visa application?

Due to the technical procedural arrangements of the Schengen zone countries, the Schengen visas processing time can be equal of up to two weeks. The Embassy states that it can not influence the processing time for that reason.
That is why the Embassy recommends to plan your trip to the Schengen zone countries and apply for the visa in advance, at least in two weeks before the beginning of the trip. Unfortunately, the visa applications that were submitted on express basis cannot be taken into account. The earliest time to apply for the Schengen visa is three months before the trip. The national visa obtain applications require the processing time ofat least six to eight weeks.

What does the Embassy check before the issue of the Schengen visa?

The Embassy should check the following criterion:
purpose of the trip (for example, the guest trip, business trip);
willingness to come back;
funding the trip (by the receiving party or traveler);
the provision of the medical insurance;
other information (AZR, SIS records, for example, the criminal offenses or other offenses/minor offenses).

What is AZR and what is SIS?

AZR is the abbreviation for “Ausländerzentralregister" ("Central Register of Foreign Nationals“). It is managed in Federal Office of Administration in Cologne. Every applicant is checked in AZR. In certain circumstances there is the information about the facts that, for example, the person committed the offences during his last visit to Germany. Such travelers cannot enter Germany.
SIS is “Schengen Information System”. That is approximately the same as AZR, but on the level of Schengen zone countries. The Embassy can also not issue the visa for the person, who committed the crime in other Schengen zone country.

I was incorrectly informed by the person from the VisaMetric reception center, or my application form was filled by the third person, who promised I would obtain the visa. My application was refused, so what should I do now?

The applicants must provide the requested documents on their own. Please, send all the documents directly to the guest, not to the VisaMetric reception center/Embassy.

Will my document package be accepted, if it is not complete?

  • The documents are returned to you and you reserve a new meeting date on our website;
  • Your apply with the non-complete document package. However, the missing documents may cause the refuse of obtaining the visa. You should sign the corresponding warning about that, when submitting the application.

There is no specific document in my application package. Should I submit the documents in this way or my application will be refused?

Always submit the complete package of your documents. It is impossible to forecast the decision in advance, if your application will have the positive decision despite the missing documents.
