1. Can I apply for a visa without providing a passport?
No, your passport is the main document that must be provided at the time of applying for a visa.
2. Can I apply for a national visa at VisaMetric?

3. Where can I find out the cost of the visa fee and VisaMetric services?
Information about the visa fee and the cost of visa center services can be found on our website in the Fees section or at the information desk in our office when applying.
4. Are there any differences in the payment of visa and service fees when submitting documents without fingerprinting?
Regardless of whether you need to be fingerprinted or not, the cost of the visa fee and services does not change.
5. Do I have to be present in person when applying for a visa?
Applicants who have not submitted fingerprints for a Schengen visa after the start of the biometric process on September 14, 2015, as well as if 59 months have passed since the submission of biometric data, must apply for a Schengen visa in person. When applying for a national visa, the presence of an applicant older than 12 years is mandatory.

6. I am not a citizen of the Russian Federation. Can I apply for a visa at VisaMetric offices in Russia?
You can apply at VisaMetric offices in the Russian Federation if you legally reside in the Russian Federation and if Germany is the main destination of your trip.
7. Will my application be accepted by VisaMetric if it is incomplete?
If, when submitting documents, it turns out that your set does not correspond to the list of required documents, our staff will inform you about this and offer the following options:
- You will be able to return to the visa center again without an appointment with a full set of documents
or
- You may decide to submit a set of documents that does not correspond to the list of required documents. In this case, you will need to sign an agreement on the transfer of an incomplete set for further consideration at the German Embassy.
