Additionally, the spouse or registered partners must download the questionnaire below, fill it in detail in German on a computer, print it out and sign it. Submit a completed and signed application form in 2 copies together with other documents listed in your checklist.
NOTICES
Please note:
- Submitting counterfeited or false documents, as well as providing false information, can lead to the rejection of your application and possibly to an entry ban to Germany (and thus also to all the other Schengen area member states)!
- We strongly recommend to submit a complete set of documents as per the list of required documents.
- Diplomatic Missions reserves the right to request further documents in individual cases.
- Please sort your documents according to the order given in the leaflet and hand them in at the counter without covers and without staples.
- For faster processing time it is highly recommended to fill in the Application Form beforehand.
- Every applicant, including children/infants, must have personal documents set for the schengen visa application.
General passport requirements:
- An international passport or official travel document should be not older than 10 years from the date of issue (including any extension of passport validity) and valid for at least another three months after departure from the territory of the Schengen countries and contain at least 2 blank pages to affix the visa.
- Non-Ukrainian applicants must submit their Ukrainian residence permit. This residence permit should be valid for at least another three months after departure from the territory of the Schengen countries.
Any exceptions to the above rules will be considered only at the discretion of the German Embassy in Kyiv.
You can choose to fill in one of the two application forms: printed version or online version.
Please note that the submission of the hand-written application form shall increase the documents’ submission time at the VisaMetric visa center, because in such case all data is being manually entered into the system by the manager during the documents’ reception.

Visa fee and VisaMetric service fee
Visa fee is paid in cash or with credit card only in UAH.
- The established VisaMetric service fee is charged on every visa application in addition to the visa fee. The service fee can be paid in cash or with credit card only in UAH.
- All fees shall not be subject to reimbursement.
- Please, note, that the final amount of visa and service fee will be calculated according to the exchange rate provided by the Embassy/Consulate.
