1. Can I apply without submitting my passport?
No, your passport is the first document to be submitted during a visa application. Therefore, it should be submitted to our Visametric office to be delivered to the German Embassy/ Consulate General .
2. Why are my fingerprints required for a Schengen visa?
The German diplomatic representations in Ukraine were linked to the VIS central database on 23.06.2015. Since then, applicants are required to have their fingerprints scanned. The data obtained shall be used for European Visa Information System (VIS). Germany Visa Departments are bound by the said European regulation and responsible for its implementation.
3. Where are my fingerprints scanned?
Your fingerprints are scanned at Visametric offices during personal application.
4. Should I have to provide fingerprints for each Schengen visa application?
No, fingerprints taken during the visa processes of Schengen countries are valid for 59 months. In exceptional cases,Visametric may need to take your fingerprints again pursuant to the requests of the German Embassy/ General Consulate.
5. Can I come to Visametric for application without making an appointment?
Yes.
6. Where can I pay the visa fee and Visametric service fee?
Application payments for all trips up to 90 days (Schengen) are made at our cashiers once the procedures of submission are finalised.
7. Where can I find the visa and Visametric Coordination (service) fees?
You can find the information regarding visa and service fees on our website in the Fees section.
8. Are there any differences in visa fees or Visametric service fees when fingerprints are not provided?
Whether you have provided fingerprints or not it has no effect on the visa and service fees.
9. Should I come to Visametric office personally?
The German diplomatic representations in Ukraine were linked to the VIS central database on 23.06.2015. Since then, applicants are required to have their fingerprints scanned. In exceptional cases, the Embassy/Consulate may request fingerprints again. You can find more information about the application process on our website in the Submission/collection process section.
10. Will my application be accepted, if it is not complete?
If you submit an incomplete application, our employees will inform you and present you with the following options:
- The documents can be returned to you and you can come back to the Visa center without an appointment during next 48 hours with full set of documents.
- You can decide to submit an incomplete application. However, the missing documents might be cause for refusal of your application. In cases of missing documents when submitting your application you should sign a statement.
